I could write a rant about something in that direction about every other day. The annoying thing is that with my Linux box, Xinerama and my window manager configuration it could just work fine -- if only applications would listen to the damn window manager hints. But no, many applications think they are smarter than my window manager. Joy. It gets even better when using a laptop with external monitor. Ever played hide and seek with applications that open on the currently unplugged external monitor? Rebecca
