Hello HCoop members, The resolution to amend the HCoop bylaws has passed, with 39 in favor, one against, and one abstaining. Please review the results at http://hcoop.net/board/bylaws.html to ensure that your vote was recorded properly.
This amendment will increase the size of our board of directors from three to five in the next election. In accordance with our bylaws and election procedures, nominations for the board of directors will be accepted through the end of March. The election will commence on April 4 and run for one week. You may nominate any HCoop member in good standing, including yourself. Please start thinking about who you want to vote for, who you think is a good candidate, and if you yourself want to be on the board of directors. The board is responsible for setting policies, ensuring that they are carried out, and generally representing the interests of the membership and legally acting on behalf of the cooperative.
