Hi Vanessa, I don’t believe that any HCP folks actually created the CognitiveAtlas descriptions, but they are a bit misleading and confusing.
For the MOTOR task, we call the conditions “hand”, “foot” and “tongue”. So, the assumptions that you made are correct. LH: left hand RH: right hand LF: left foot RF: right foot T: tongue For the WM task, the contrast names that you referred to are missing the “_” (underscore) and “-“ (minus) characters. Those characters are present if you look at the contrast names that we provide in the “Contrasts.txt” files or in the map names in wb_view. 0BK_FACE: 0-back block using face simuli 2BK-0BK: avg of 2-back blocks minus avg of 0-back blocks Hope this helps, --Greg ____________________________________________________________________ Greg Burgess, Ph.D. Staff Scientist, Human Connectome Project Washington University School of Medicine Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology Phone: 314-362-7864 Email: [email protected] > On Mar 22, 2015, at 1:17 PM, vanessa sochat <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi HCP, > > I want to verify the meaning of some of the contrast labels for two tasks: > > tfMRi Motor Task Paradigm > Specifically, there are contrast images with labels like "LH" and "RH," which > intuitively one would infer to be "left hand" and "right hand."
