Thanks for your kind information. I had a look at the patch, and you're right,
it brought {{checkOpen()}} to {{branch-2}} mistakenly. The reason was that I
was not aware of the [HDFS-8332] was reverted in {{branch-2}} but not in
{{trunk}}. I revisited the patch and found these are the only logic changes in
the patch. As its commit contains changes to many evolving classes in the
{{hdfs-client}} module, perhaps we can keep the commit and fix failures like
[HDFS-9400] separately. What your opinion?
