Arpit Agarwal commented on HDFS-10713:
--------------------------------------

Also patch will have to be rebased since HDFS-10742 just introduced
{{dfs.lock.suppress.warning.interval}}, we can reuse the same setting. Instead
of using conf.getLong you will have to use conf.getTimeDuration like.
{code}
          conf.getTimeDuration(
            DFSConfigKeys.DFS_LOCK_SUPPRESS_WARNING_INTERVAL_KEY,
            DFSConfigKeys.DFS_LOCK_SUPPRESS_WARNING_INTERVAL_DEFAULT,
            TimeUnit.MILLISECONDS),
{code}

> The NameNode logs a message if the FSNamesystem write lock is held by a
> thread for over 1 second. These messages can be throttled to at one most one
> per x minutes to avoid potentially filling up NN logs. We can also log the
> number of suppressed notices since the last log message.
