Dear Mr. Kearney,
I think your basic idea to expand the classification set-up for Jews in =
Germany, Poland, and Russia is a good one. I wonder whether it would be =
possible to retain (in some form) the present feature of assigning =
definite numbers (at present G34-G37) for the largest of the pre-1918 =
German states. I think this would be useful for materials written about =
the Jews in Prussia or Bavaria as separate states.
