IIRC, the motivation to support AMD Lance was that it was supported by
VirtualBox. The motivation to support RTL8169 is that it is very common
in systems with AMD processors, just like E1000 on Intel systems. Since
VirtualBox now supports also other NICs that HelenOS supports, IMHO it
is more useful to look at the RTL8169 direction.
