Boot info script is available as a Debian package.
I zero-ed the usb sticks again (dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb bs=4M oflag=direct) to make sure there is no bootloader or other things interfering. Did a complete fresh debootstrap again (from an other live usb stick (/dev/sda). Installed my system with grub etc (I done this procedure many times). I ran the bootinfoscript from within my chroot. # cat RESULTS.txt & tree -d /boot http://paste.debian.net/284076 # grub-install --debug --recheck --root-directory=/ /dev/sdb http://paste.debian.net/284077/ Attempting Boot From USB DriveKey (C:) error: disk `lvmid/zHVr7i-nKrH-SdtG-yeVC-b3vc-2aiE-Hh8J5z/dqoj63-31d9-Fltl-4BXd- CrqZ-9qAV-CY2yOe' not found.
