The Farmer's Markets and many home
gardens are filled with the bounties
of the summer sun right now-TOMATOES!

We always look forward to the
first heirloom tomatoes of summer,
especially the various rainbow
coloured ones. I am always trying
new presentations and ways of using
the glut of garden ripe tomatoes.

One can eat just so many Greek
salads.

I first grew Green Zebra about 6 years
ago and delighted in its citrus
type flavour. I was experimenting with
the Green Zebras and came up with this
now a favourite of our family and friends
sauce. I left some in the refrigerator
overnight and was amazed at the thick
consistency and tasted it. Yummmmm.

Then I did some spoonfuls to family members
saying "guess what this is"??? Many said
tomatillos?

Or
Tomatoes, but it's green and spicy and wonderful!

Interesting....thus was born my Green Mean
Sauce, a Thai salsa. Yet this sauce was wonderful
warm over Mee (rice noodles).

Exciting fusion sauce using Thai ingredients with
an American summer fruit Green Zebra tomatoes.
