You will not arrive at the playa when you plan to. You will arrive when you 
get there. You will be tired and want to sleep. You want a shelter that 
will reflect the sun, insulate from the cold, and keep the dust out. A 
shelter that can be set up in less than 1/2 hour is a good thing. You are 
not building a gymnasium for all your friends to hang out and party. Your 
shelter is for sleeping. Like right now.

I think a lot of people over-think their shelters. There are parameters 
that must be considered, like sheer strength and anchoring against 70mph 
winds. Possible rain storms. Intense sun, night cold, and daily dust 
storms. Otherwise, keep it simple. You want a shelter that goes up quickly, 
goes up right the first time, and can be broken down easily at the end of a 
sleep-deprived week. Laziness is next to Godliness.
