Joyce - Our lab cuts tissues from a variety of sources. We cut most tissues at 3 microns. Since we take a lot of pictures and cells were considered 4 microns thick, 3 microns shows only on thickness and good for pictures. The exceptions are kidneys, cut a 2 microns and CNS tissues cut at 5-6 microns. Cheryl
