HOW TO CUT NAILS (or other difficult tissue) SO THAT THEY STAY on slide! (1) Cut the slides and place on Plus(+) slide.... (2) shake off excess water (3) place slide immediately in plastic Coplin jar with 1-3 drops of formalin at bottom. (4) place in hot oven for 5 mins (50-60 degrees) (5) remove from Coplin jar under a hood as formalin drops are now carcinogenic vapour (6) place slides in rack in oven so that the formalin moisture dries... (7) slide is ready for use
