Awards Spotlight - J. B. McCormick, MD Award

This award is generously sponsored by Dr. McCormick and his family.  The award 
consists of a functioning exact replica of an 1800 Liberkuhn Compass Microscope 
and an eight book boxed set of The Science Heritage Library, concerning the 
history of the microscope and Histotechnology.
Award Criteria:
This award is presented for outstanding and exceptional service to the National 
Society for Histotechnology.
The McCormick Family Trust has been sponsoring this award since 1978, that's 
pretty amazing.  Thanks Dr. McCormick!  Some of the past recipients are Freida 
Carson in 1983, Sheron Lear in 2001, Jan Minshew in 2008 and Skip Brown in 
2011. You can see a full list of the recipients on the NSH website. If you know 
of anyone who has supported the NSH through the years and support can consist 
of many things, from lecturing at state and local meetings, to serving on a 
committee or as an elected official. These individuals are highly dedicated to 
their profession, if you know of someone that is deserving of this prestigious
