Dear all!

Do any regulations or official recommendations exist, that refer to the
necessary number of sections per block?

I think of GI-biopsy-blocks (10x10 mm).



Some mount a ribbon with 4-6 serial sections on one slide.  Some work with
sliding microtomes (like me) and mount 4 sections with little trimming in
between.

The background for the question is, that we want to eveluate if there is a
diagnostic difference between mounting 3 or 4 single sections on the slide
for GI-biopsies. (to reduce workload and scanning time)



It would be nice to get your experience with that issue.
