I had added a GetVersionPref.java some time back to ant extensions in hive. It
was later not used because we decided not to use preprocessing for 0.19 changes
to validateInput and instead decided to rely on reflection. That can easily be
resurrected.
Let me look at this version as well. Also I am going to change this to a
blocker as many people are waiting for this.
