Monday, November 15, 1999 Ezam: I did not suspend Lokman KOTA TINGGI: Parti Keadilan Nasional Youth chief Mohamad Ezam Mohd Noor yesterday denied allegation that he has suspended Johor Youth chief Lokman Nor Adam. To prove that Lokman is still needed, he said the party would field him to contest against Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein in Bandar Tenggara. "I did not make a decision nor sign a letter to suspend him (Lokman)," he told reporters after a ceramah here on Saturday night. He was commenting on Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman's statement said he received a copy of Lokman's suspension letter dated Nov 4 which was signed by Keadilan secretary Jaafar Ahmad. In Kuala Lumpur, Keadilan deputy president Dr Chandra Muzaffar said that Lokman was merely asked to step down from the post "temporarily" pending investigations. He said there were a few accusations against Lokman.
