Mr Fakeemeeah is well known among sincere Muslims world-wide for his struggle against the corruption of the Mauritian regime headed by Mr Jugnauth (of the MSM party currently in an alliance with the MMM as Mauritius's formal government) who is on record as having said that the Qur'an is "Insanity" and whose deputy Mr Paul Berenger (of the MMM) is on record as having stated on a radio station in London that the Shari'ah is retrograde. The latest affront to justice, whether man made or divine, is the arrest of Cehl Meeah (as he is better known) for a triple murder which took place on the eve of a local election in October 1996. Ironically members of Hizbollah were arrested after the murder but released some 18 months later because no evidence was found linking the murders to Hizbollah. The current deputy, Mr Berenger, however maintained his accusations and following his victory in subsequent elections he has now found himself in a position to release his wrath on the Muslim community in Mauritius once again. Having been refused any form of legal representation the corrupt Mauritian regime state that Cehl Meeah wishes to `exercise his right to silence' however the horrific truth has come to light that he is being tortured in Prison, that he has sustained broken ribs and is currently hospitalised! To add insult to injury the fascist Mauritian government have even tried to give Cehl urine to drink to break his fast during this blessed month!! May Allah (SWT) curse them. The call for Islam and the Islamic State (Al-Khilafah) around the world has brought with it increased animosity and atrocities from regimes adamant that they will do all they can to hold onto power so that they can continue their hegemony and oppression. In this respect Mauritius is no different. Indeed prison deaths are not a new phenomenon for those who dare to speak up against the evil of their political system. We call upon Muslims everywhere to raise awareness about the plight of our Muslim brothers and sisters being tortured and oppressed around the world, to continue the struggle against man made law and not to let the efforts of those who have made the sacrifice be lost and to demonstrate with us outside the Mauritian embassy tomorrow Friday the 8th of December 2000 and on Tuesday the 12th of December 2000 in order to condemn the Mauritian government, to highlight the crimes being committed and to demand Cehl's immediate release.
