Simple fix: Get a real OS ;)

Seriously, that is really disturbing to find that all kinds of things
that ran under 9x broke with ME, and NT/2000 with XP professional/home
whatever they call it these days.

Even less reason for me to move from 2000 to anything else for a very
long time (maybe when XP Service Pack 40 comes out or so.. ;).

Poor guy. Of course, my question to the Valve folks is why would WC be
writing to a text file and not the registry?? At least the Registry API
shouldn't be broken in XP, whereas I can see devious little folks at
Microsoft denying access to fprintf or somesuch silliness in the XP C
runtime files... After all, .NET wants us all to us C# doesn't it??

Ignore the bitter ravings of someone who works in a Microsoft shop...
Ah well, if we all used Macs, we'd be ranting about Apple all the time.

> As you may or may not Worldcraft (3.3 at least) has a compatibly bug
with WinXP/WinME systems in that it does not save the Gamecfg.wc file
correctly all the time. Basically, you load WC, go to options, add a
new mod, quit WC and when you come back its not there (most of the time
but sometimes it saves). Is there any chance you could debug this
because frankly, I am getting pissed at having to add mods over and
over and over again. If you can either fix it, or give a method to fix
it I'd be happy.
