Um....er....well, I was second place champ on Defender - my friend was number one, he could actually turn it over....I wussed out at 300,000 or so......
There used to be a nickle arcade in Portland, Electric Wonderland or something like that, up on Halsey Street. I used take a $5 bill, cash it into nickles, and spend an entire afternoon in the place. This was like 1983-1984. By the time I spent all my nickles, my eyeballs were about popping out of my head....man, those were the days.... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aillaud Niels" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 11, 2001 4:42 AM Subject: RE: Newbie server admin Yeah, when you could actually finish a game with a single token 'cos you were that good. -----Message d'origine----- De : [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Envoyé : jeudi 11 octobre 2001 05:18 À : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Objet : Re: Newbie server admin You and me both, pops...I just happen to have one of those original pong games...somewhere....packed in a box somewhere. Under the 3 Atari 2600's and the case of carts...I'd unbox them but it hurts my back to lift those boxes anymore...and if I could have all of the money I spent on arcade games back in the 1980's when arcade games were *games*, not those pansy wansy kick/fight/hit stuff kids play today. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Manuel Bermudez III" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2001 5:15 PM Subject: RE: Newbie server admin > > You guys have no idea what gaming is until you unbox, (blows dust from > boxes in storage closet) > And bring out the old Oddysey, Atari 2600, and the first ever PONG for > two player action game. > > You guys just don't know....
