Um....er....well, I was second place champ on Defender - my friend was
number one, he could actually turn it over....I wussed out at 300,000 or
so......

There used to be a nickle arcade in Portland, Electric Wonderland or
something like that, up on Halsey Street. I used take a $5 bill, cash it
into nickles, and spend an entire afternoon in the place. This was like
1983-1984. By the time I spent all my nickles, my eyeballs were about
popping out of my head....man, those were the days....

You and me both, pops...I just happen to have one of those original pong
games...somewhere....packed in a box somewhere. Under the 3 Atari 2600's and
the case of carts...I'd unbox them but it hurts my back to lift those boxes
anymore...and if I could have all of the money I spent on arcade games back
in the 1980's when arcade games were *games*, not those pansy wansy
kick/fight/hit stuff kids play today.
