 You are right, Jess Cliff and another person created a MOD to Half-Life
called Counter-Strike.  Valve got involved at some point during the creation
process and now it is soley a Valve Game with Cliff as the Lead Designer or
Project Guru.  Same thing with DOD and several other mods.  And Valve still
is one the very best Supporting companies out there... now if they would
reply to my question about 'HL2 Retail/Back Catalog' I would be exstatic.

While I understand your point i didnt think valve created the game
counterstrike. They created half life but i thought someone else wrote
the original mod. Anyone know?
