This is the dedicated server list, not a HL2DM one (we are accepting of all mods on this list ;-) Actually lots of people in the company subscribe to this list but only a couple of us are game enough to dabble our toes in the proverbial torrent of this list. There is also no shooting of messengers, Valve has a very flat and egalitarian structure (I am a programmer working on a large range of projects, I just also happen to participate in this list).
