Out of interest, can you define "no longer start"? Do they throw an error or anything?

Ok HoundDawg, let's be fair here. Since you smoked my question in the wiki about how to run a Windows HLDS with more then 3GBs of RAM in the system maybe you'd like to comment here as to how it can be done. We've upgraded our dual-core, dual-cpu Opteron server in Chicago to 4GBs of high-quality ECC/registered Corsair RAM and can now no longer start any HLDS servers on the machine. Any suggestions anybody? -heapsize settings are without fruit as well. It appears that the system having that much RAM in it prevents us from running the HL1 engine anymore on this particular machine and has forced us to offload them to other machines. Anyone....?
