Out of interest, can you define "no longer start"? Do they throw an
error or anything?

Ok HoundDawg, let's be fair here. Since you smoked my question in the
wiki
about how to run a Windows HLDS with more then 3GBs of RAM in the
system
maybe you'd like to comment here as to how it can be done. We've
upgraded
our dual-core, dual-cpu Opteron server in Chicago to 4GBs of
high-quality ECC/registered Corsair RAM and can now no longer start
any HLDS servers on
the machine. Any suggestions anybody? -heapsize settings are without
fruit
as well. It appears that the system having that much RAM in it
prevents us
from running the HL1 engine anymore on this particular machine and has
forced us to offload them to other machines. Anyone....?

Subject: [hlds] Introducing ServerWiki.org

Through continued discussion with other server admins on re-evaluating
the needs of game server admins, a few got together and created
ServerWiki.org. This is a Wiki specifically for game server admins
(not
limited to HL) in an effort to gather and host information about
running
servers, including lists of server utilities available for use, etc...

Please lend your support by visiting and contributing to the
information
found on http://www.ServerWiki.org or dropping by the IRC channel
#ServerWiki on GameSurge.

Thank You.
