Hey, I have a few users in my clan that are having problems hl2.exe crashing due to a faulty datacache.dll, along with the Error Verifying STEAM UserID Ticket. When the .blob file is deleted and they log back onto steam.. play for a while then try to play again it gives them the same error (after they've played and quit).
Does anyone have any idea if the datacache.dll error has anything to do with the update that went out yesterday? This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] When trying to connect to my newly updated server I get the above error message, tried a few other IP's and all coming back with the same problem. Rebooted the server and my PC still no joy, in the end had to quit steam, and delete the ClientRegistry.blob file, then reload steam before I could get back into the server without any issues. Anyone else having the same problem ? Neil. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
