Will these stream continually using your clients MP3 player, or will they stream via the web applet built into source? Having something play via the in-game browser seems to me to be a bit dodgy, however does mean you don't have to download every single file (the ones listed in downloads.txt, etc) when you join the server.
Does anyone know how the track playback works, and whether the playback halts at round end or some other trigger? Now I am intrigued about what you can do with this :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of {MDA} Spotta Sent: Monday, 13 November 2006 8:35 PM To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: RE: [hlds] Streaming Music In-game Sorry for the delay, took me a while to find this. It's a virtual dj program for source I picked up about a year ago. The link for it doesn't work anymore so you can get it here http://www.mda-oldravers.co.uk/vdj.zip I believe it's set up to stream from the server, but is written in php So could be told to play mp3s from a different web server if needed. I seem to remember you set up a link in webshortcutlist.txt to vdj.php and it then shows you the contents of the folder and allows you to choose your music. Hope it helps someone Spotta -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of kyle Sent: 11 November 2006 00:17 To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: Re: [hlds] Streaming Music In-game -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] http://www.wimpyplayer.com/ & MOTD ='s ingame music _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
