Ah i see, i thought it had something to do with the announced server browser
updater, that it would sort on location correctly rather then closest ip
first.
Any hint on when the announced fix will be released?

In the serverbrowser running in Steam (not in Source) if you make the IP
column visible and then click on it to make it sort by that column the
IP's are now listed in the correct order.
