Agreed - although Steamworks doesnt agree.... Matchmaking / Lobbies Steamworks' multiplayer back-end is powered by robust matchmaking and lobby technology. The same technology that drives the quick and accurate match-ups in Left 4 Dead can be used in your game.
Hardly robust, Hardly quick. L4D is an awesome game, but the lobby just doesnt work right. Last night it took 8 lobby creation attempts by me and my friends just to get a game on an offical dedi server, only for it to crash 3 chapters in. Aside from the gameplay itself, its f***ing baffling to see how its won any awards. Its getting sick now, and ech time im in a lobby, players just slag it off no end.
