i don't think valve is that stupid.
i mean its a legit way to do it, its not that you are downloading it 
from a third party site, you just trick the steam client cause they
haven't locket the beta to the participating steam accounts.
i have tf2 and css, still doesn't work.
and the cstrike_beta folder is in the " counter-strike source beta 
content2.gcf " file, this file you open with gcfscape that you get from 
http://nemesis.thewavelength.net
