I'm assigning each instance of srcds to 2 core (0 and 1 or 2 and 3 ....) I assign 2 server instances to -> 2 cores core 0 and 1 -------- 2 x SRCDS My CPU usage per server is down and lag(cpu) spikes are all gone now. -----Original Message----- From: hlds-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com [mailto:hlds-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com] On Behalf Of Shizzle Nizzle Sent: Monday, August 09, 2010 5:11 PM To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list Subject: Re: [hlds] Massive TF2 server cpu hike caused by 2010-07-20 update Just an update: Mike's method of manually putting 2 gameservers for every 2 cores has worked wonders these past couple days.. It has stopped the cpu lagspikes, and playerdrop outs, and my cpu usage has dropped significantly. Thanks again mike for the tip :) On Thu, Jul 29, 2010 at 2:49 PM, Shizzle Nizzle <infl...@gmail.com> wrote: > any word on a fix valve? the threads command does somewhat stabilize the > server however, there are still cpu spikes that lagout clients fairly > consistently.. just less often now. it got to a point where every 15 > minutes clients would lagout due to a lagspike, now its about every 1-2 > hours > > > On Sat, Jul 24, 2010 at 9:02 PM, 1nsane <1nsane...@gmail.com> wrote: > >> Didn't seem to help me with either threading commands here on windows. >> Changing affinity does not help either :(. >> >> On Fri, Jul 23, 2010 at 11:58 AM, Steven Hartland >> <kill...@multiplay.co.uk>wrote: >> >> > We're running a combination, across servers.
