Hi,

With HL2 Steam Games such as CS:S DOD:S HL2 DM etc, should we as software
developers refer to and define them as HL2 Mods or independent games?

By this I mean, does Valve prefer us to Define them as a Sub game of HL2 or
to promote them as independent games. A lot of my users towards the end of
HL1 were confused over CounterStrike as some saw it as a stand alone game
while others recognise what a mod is and that it was a mod.

Take for example ASE or GameSpy Arcade/3D. Should those tools have a main
Catagry for HL2 and treat CS:S DOD:S like the old school HL1 mods?

If we do treat games like CS:S DoD:S as their own games, yet it requires HL2
to play it starts to add complications to 3rd party software in that, it may
be feasible for these mods to have mods?

Yes, I think I have managed to make this sound more complicated then it may
be so looking forward to the official response as well as community desires.
