Erik, FYI, I run two linux servers, and both have had the "kick everyone till i get rebooted" bug after every VAC update except the last, and that was just because I was running the test module. AFAIK, most everyone on this list has had similiar problems.

We're looking into it. This does not happen in most configurations. If you have rcon pw to the server go > download HLSW at www.hlsw.net and enter ur rcon pw. Then do an rcon > quit through that program. Takes all of 3 minutes Please think about what you're saying. Not everyone sits behind a desk all day, and of those that do, not everyone has an open internet connection with which to do as they please. And even if you're in a perfect situation where you have a nice, fat, unrestricted (no proxies/firewalls) pipe to your server at home/colo and you're boss doesn't mind you dicking around with "extra-curricular activities", how are you supposed to know a new security module has been issued? Listen, it's a bug that needs to be fixed. Granted, there have been worse bugs before, but the vast majority of server operators aren't paid to monitor those servers 24/7. Honestly, they shouldn't *need* to. I'm sure "KnowHow" understands perfectly what rcon is and how it works--and how it could be utilized in this situation. -- Eric (the Deacon remix) _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
