I've been following the GameSpy stats as well. From what I can tell, there
is definately an over-saturation of servers per player. I mean, HL at best
has like an overall 3.5 players per server. UT, Q3, UT2K, Wolfenstein...
they all still manage a 1-2 players per server. So, I doubt the players are
headed there.

Now, the only one doing better at the Player:Server ratio is America's Army.
They typically always hold a 4-6 players per server ratio. I've even seen
it go to 7-9.

Needless to say, there are still too many servers for the amount of players.
Anyway, those are the stats I've been watching. Especially, when I'm
approached by others that are thinking about renting servers out. IMO,
they'd be better off making money with those servers by hosting something
other than a game server.
