Not really - its easy to secure a network.

Well, if it is so easy to secure a network, why was Valve's network so
exposed? This would assume, from your premise, that Valve made no
attempt to secure their network whatsoever.

"Not a lot of work to secure their Network" - I promise you

So, if it is not a lot of work, why have they not done it before now?

If you know it is not a lot of work, should I assume you have intimate
knowledge of their network? If it transpires your the network
administrator, a lot of questions become self explanatory...

- their network will be more secure than yours :-) They know the holes - think
someone could plant the stuff on your network that was planted on valves? I bet valve
knows how to prevent
it now - do you?

I could never say my network was 100% secure - no network administrator
could. Network security is about common sense and reducing your
exposure to security breaches, and is more about protecting yourself
from unknown threats rather than known ones.

Dont be such a cracker and sharpen up - bitching and moaning will get ya now
where quick. In fact, I think you're already there.
