Most dedicated server providers are not in colo facilities thank you very much.
Especially wholesale dedicated server dealers (i.e. EZZI.net, ev1Servers, UnitedColo) are in separate facilities, not datacenters. Although (Some) may be "Datacenter Class" facilities. Then again there are specialized dedicated server dealers who deal directly out of carrier class datacenter facilities (Peer1, MFN, Level3, MCI etc) but those dedicated servers run $700+ per month; well above the price of profitability. Pure and simple, 99% of dedicated server providers cannot match the transport quality of co-location providers. This excludes dedicated server resellers who operate out of the datacenters directly. Dude, where you you think these dedicated servers are hosted at? A co-lo facility maybe? No matter what type of service you are using it's up to the host to provide you with a good connection. It has nothing to do with co-lo vs. anything. If it's a dedicated server you have thats got crap for connectivity, it may not be their fault. -- - m0gely http://quake2.telestream.com/ Q2 | Q3A | Counter-strike _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
