I highly doubt Alfred is going to comment on something here that Vavle isnt commenting / made public yet.

What is of interest is what steps do we need to take to have servers ready
to go on the moment of release. Will the beta cs source update to the full
version or do we need to be ready to start again.

If its going to update automatically from beta to full then I should setup
a whole heap more servers ready to for the event :)

Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] [OT] Team Fortress Source & HL2 Purchase
Options

What all is included in "Half-Life 1: Source" is a better question perhaps. CS and DoD are seperate retail packages in the store. Even though the big "Collector Edition" boxes for Half-life have TFC wrapped individually, I've always considered it part of the base HL1 "package" ..

So what's included in HL1:S? What about Opposing Force, Blue Shift? Are
these under the "HL1:S" header?

I imagine if you buy Brozne (Just HL2 and CSS), you'll have to buy Silver
or Gold to get DOD:S..

I also noted that the retail boxes don't mention DOD:S at all, or getting
the back catalog of STEAM... Which I assume is everything currently
available on Steam today.. HL1, Opposing Force, TFC, CS 1.6, CZ, DMC,
Ricochet, etc.. Speaking of which, why doesn't STEAM have Blue Shift
available for purchase anywhere?

Ok so reading latest news (http://www.hlfallout.net/viewnews.php/7470/) about Half-Life 2 purchase options I notice that the Steam Online Gold Package purchase comes with DoD-Source, CStrike-Source, etc. But no mention of Team Fortress under source. Is TF not being ported? I'm also curious if purchasing a silver or other package of hl2 means the owner cannot play dod-source without some extra purchase?

Sorry for the OT but I dont sub to any client related lists.
