I have reproduced the problem on a windows hl2dm server.

I was curious if this happens on the windows version too.
I just spent some time trying to get this "server crash bug" to crash my
windows servers and failed.
I got lots of skulls and a bit of lag but no crash.
With the "fps unlocked" and the console showing 500+ I saw the skulls
appear faster but still no crashes.
Looks like the "crashing" is specific to the linux build.
I did manage to crash my client once but the server remained online and
healthy.

Hey Alfred, any chance of getting log_level to work?
What would we see at log_level 15?
We do need more detailed logging.
For instance:
Information on where weapon is pointing vs where impacts occur for
aimbot & no-recoil bounds checking
Information on bullet trajectory to detect impacts through solid objects
(detect wall hax)
Information on player trajectory including velocity for speed hack
detection
all commands entered on client console
all client variables not set to default values
information on client skin customizations
