SourceTV demos doesn't record that data yet, maybe the viewmodel will be
added.

In general I would be careful by banning people based on recorded demos
if it's not totally obvious. Viewing demos in first person spectator
mode doesn't exctly show what the player was seeing. Because the players
view is ahead in time depinging on his lag (client view prediction).
That isn't compensated in first person spectator mode, it's too
expensive on the server CPU wise.

Subject: [hlds_linux] srctv demo's

Hi Valve (Alfred),

Client side demo's record recoil and display weapon models etc.

Server side srctv don't appear to?

I have a requirement to view a srctv demo back with weapons and recoil
because I need to avi some footage of a cheater as evidence for a ban
for a player in a well known UK clan.

I didn't get a client demo of the player, was relying on the srctv demo
but forgot that it doesn't normally display the weapon model and recoil
etc.

Is the any possible way to enable it on the srctv demo with some cvars
on my client?

I'm pretty desperate otherwise I cannot really enforce the ban because
its likely that to many people will stir up merry hell without full
evidence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, it would really be helpful for future demoing via the
server for the demo's to by default record this data... And display it
by default.
Is it a file size issue or something else?

Look forward to your response

Regards

- Kyle
