Here on 5.4 redhat8 base the steam bin works fine but the v28 server just crashes previous version was v24 and was fine.

If so, what Linux ABI are you using? I've tried rh9, gentoo, and suse93. HLDS runs as long as I update it on a different machine running linux. The steam binary just cores. I've mentioned this twice and no one has answered so I'm wondering if anyone is able to do it at all.
