So, instead of keeping news of new exploits and fixes for said exploits
"relatively" private on this list, you want to move everything to a very
visible, public forum.  The Steam forums, no less.  With the type of
"typical" visitor there, I'd rather this mailing list was kept as is.  Even
with the most annoying HLDS member there may be, they'd pale in comparison
to the total junk you experience on those forums.


This is a horrible idea.  There was instant feedback from like minded
individuals here.  The update notifications and "yes we know" feedback from
Valve was also an invaluable resource.  That's something I really do not see
as continuing in a forum environment.
