this can be repeated as follows: iptables -I OUTPUT 1 -p udp --dport 27017 -j REJECT then after while iptables -D OUTPUT 1
...and it FAILS to reconnect to steam. The longer you keep the reject rule on, the more likely it will fail to reconnect.
