So, Vpk files are suppose to be faster and all, but I've made a lot of vpk files to make it easier for my server maintenance. I run multiple servers from the same base install but because of this all the vpk's are loaded for each server too. I notice a large waiting time when starting up the server and even with a server that actually "requires" 50 to 100 vpk files in order for the server to work will tend to sometimes "stall" you get the red "connection timed out" in the upper right corner. Takes a few more seconds and then it comes back to live.
Would be nice if you can start a server with the option "which" custom folder you want it to load. That way in multi server setups it will only load that particular part.
