Try VirtualBox it’s a great VM and running XP/7 will give you all the
support needed as Wine can be so cranky.
We use VM in debian with virtio network driver to run a Dota2 server, works
great.

It's just a woraround and not a solution. We don't like to run wine on
dedicated servers.
