As I recall, the biggest problem was too many nonstandard directives and fcrontab gets parsed a little differently than vixie-cron. It worked for a couple weeks, was rotating logs, but then stopped. No error reporting anywhere. I spent way too much time, lost patience, and hooked logrotate to reboot. I just looked at the blfs fcron and it installs to /usr/local, so I will change that config and try again with the latest version.
