-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Aha! Embarrassed again! -d on logrotate is debug. I inserted it to see what was happening, but forgot it does nothing but go through the motions. Fcron was not guilty; I was.
As a note, fcron will not update paths in fcron.conf if you recompile. Delete it first. For a normal install you might prefer to use: ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var - --with-boot-install=no --with-selinux=no - --with-spooldir=/var/spool/fcron --without-sendmail - --with-piddir=/var/run --with-fifodir=/var/tmp I have the latest version running on 2 HLFS machines and it rotated my logs, updated clamav and snort sigs, ran rkhunter, updates it's own fcrontab, and ticks my watchdog, all without problem so far. I still think it has too many bells and whistles for such a basic utility, but if it proves reliable I am with it. Cheaper than beer.
