While I know you can "reskin" a weapon by simply opening the texture file and
editing it in photoshop but i was wondering if you could also decompile the mdl
and open it up in xsi/3ds max/maya to apply different materials? For example I
want to reskin the m4a1 carbine in cs:s by making it police black and with a
tan grip and stock. If I apply the materials in 3ds max do I have to uv map it
again? I textures in cs:s are a little old now so I dont want to simply change
the color. Thanks for your help.
