Good morning, I am working on a new hobo app and I have run into a small problem. I have two related models, category and post. Posts belong to categories and are user creatable. Categories can only be created by admins. So far so good. I have setup the has_many and belongs_to relationships (Categories have many posts and posts belong to category). So far so good.
I then added an auto_actions_for line to posts (auto_actions_for :category, [:new, :create]) so users could create posts under a given category straight from the category page. When I am logged in as admin I get a add post button on a category page. But I do not get the button when I am logged in as a regular user. I dug a little deeper, and I can get the add post button to appear for a regular user if I give that user create permission on categories. Is there a way around this or is this a bug?
