Hi Everyone -
Well, as Oscar Wilde said, "... but some of us are looking at the stars..."
Starting tomorrow, a comet will be visible to the naked eye for a short time, and also, tomorrow a lunar eclipse will be visible from Europe and Asia, but not the US (where it will be daytime).
Clear blue skies all the way. :)
love and peace,
joyce

In the beginning of May you will have a chance to see a naked eye comet
Comet NEAT. For Northern Hemisphere observers, Comet NEAT will first
appear near the western horizon on May 4, 2004 at sunset. It will be difficult
to see then because of the Suns glow. But each night, it will appear higher
and higher in the sky. Comet NEAT will grow brighter and is expected to be
the brightest between May 7th and 10th. Although it will then gradually grow
dimmer, it will also climb higher in the sky and it will still be possible to view it.
Even though Comet NEAT will be a naked eye object during most of May, you
might find a pair of binoculars useful while observing it.
Southern Hemisphere observers will get a much better view of not only
Comet NEAT but, from the middle May, also Comet LINEAR both which will
appear relatively high in the sky.
The following web site contains sky maps for both hemispheres indicating
where to look:
