Hi friends, I have some old documents on my computer that I wrote when I was still on a very old pre-internet machine that only ran WP51. I do not have WP51 on this computer, but these documents have been moved to the files of my old vectra and then the files of my old vectra were moved to my new vectra. I've been trying to convert them into OpenOffice files, but no succes so far. I can only open them in a somewhat readable form in wordpad, but with a lot of little square blocks at the beginning and not all the letters look right.
Anyone know how to open these files in OpenOffice? Another annoying thing is, that once I opened them in OpenOffice the computer immediately makes an OpenOffice file out of the file (that remains unreadable) and I do not get the "open with" option again with a right mouse click, when I try to open the file again. Same has happened with files i used to open with WinRAR. Even after deleting WinRAR completely, including the install, and installing another ZIP programm, when I open these files still they turn up in WinRAR files, and I am notified to register (with use of creditcard no doubt) and I do not get an "open with" option anymore.
