Thanks for the telling the truth.
I agree. I like it here and will do my best to behave.

You know, i remember last time i said i was doing my best, you advised me to do my worst instead...

Wikid!
(what DOES that mean these days?)
LOL

Indeed!

Here in Massachusetts, something wikid is good in a sort of devilish, twinkle in the eye, sort of way.

There is a microbrewery in the area named Pete's Wicked Ale, but for a while we had the name confused and thought it was a law firm called Peete, Swick & Hale... True story!!

Whatever we do, it all seems to work out exactly as it is supposed to.

Ah good.

These are very clearly parasol mushroooms.
The brown ring near the base is like the ring
that you push up (on a parasol) The top is furry (especially
the brown bits)

Yes, you're right - the top is fuzzy in spots. Did not know about the ring at the base and how it would telescope like an umbrella. Cool. Parasol is a more intriguing word than umbrella! I think these mushrooms look adorable, cute the way they grow together like that.

These are big delicious mushrooms - eat them
Wonderful

Really? Good to know, thanks.

If you wish to get into wild mushroom eating
- start with the ones that can not be mistaken
for anything else (this one is such - however I
am in Europe - so make sure!

There is nothing similar
that I am aware of - what a Sunday breakfast feast if
these are about)

This is making me hungry! I am tempted to go out in the morning and see if the mushrooms are still there in the same place, so i can make a feast of them for breakfast... I took the photos about 3 weeks ago, though, and the night temps have dipped below freezing, so maybe they are not any good any more. Do mushrooms freeze well? I know of dried mushrooms, especially the ones used in Chinese cooking, but not frozen ones.

Talking of photos

tried to add a pic (did everything right)
to our peace elements wiki but no luck - will try their support
- which seems very friendly

or maybe you can work it out?

I tried earlier today with the PeaceGeese to have the image display right in the wiki, i did everything right, and had the same results as you. I tried to fake it and was partially succcessful.

If you get into editing mode, find the little icon that says media or multimedia (when you hover over it). You can then paste in the url for the image right after the first : in the string.

The image should appear normally EXCEPT that right before it, the following appeared for me >"Media  I think this is a bug in the wiki code.

I tried using the icon for images, but when i used that one, all it did was display the url.

Maybe someone else can figure it out? I have to admit to not reading all of the instructions!

Thanks again for the inspiration about mushrooms for breakfast.

love and peace poetry,

joyce
