More on those geese we saw today...They really are
called Nile Geese.. they were imported from Egypt as a decorative bird and have
now spread in Holland so that according to one site there are 1000 breeding
pairs.. We saw quite a few of the lovely creatures today so I guess we can
consider ourselves blessed, but on the other hand I didn't win the New Year's
lottery here..
The Nile goose was sacred to the god Amen.. an
