O.k. I got it on the screen. It is a simple military horn, off course, as you said, and missing the terminal crook infront. A.Meindl in Teplitz, well "Teplice" in Czech language. Some of the horns made in that are do not carry the name of the maker but of the dealer, e.g. Hannabach (natural horns) from Schönbach around 1820 & many others. Times have not changed since.
By the way, the second slide seems a bit short for the F-horn, the receiver of the crook is a bit too far up for the F-horn. May-be, it was just played with a stickel or with just a narrow coil, named "sauschwanzl". +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Am 01.10.2009 um 11:37 schrieb Klaus Smedegaard Bjerre: > There were family links between populations of Markneukirchen and > Graslitz.
